Ingredients:
- 1 ea yeast package
- 1 1/4 c water
- 1/4 c shortening
- 1 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbs sugar
- 1 ea egg
- 2 3/4 c flour
Instructions:
1) In a small bowl:
2) dissolve:
3) 1 pkg of yeast in
4) 1/4 cup warm water
5) let rise.
6) Large bowl:
7) 1/4 of shortening
8) 1/4 tsp salt
9) 2 tbs. sugar
10) Pour over the above ingredients 1 cup of boiling water.
11) Add half the flour. Beat in 1 egg and stir.
12) Add the yeast mixture.
13) Stir and add the remaining flour.
14) Knead for about 8-10 minutes.
15) Cover with cellophane and chill for 2-12 hours.
16) Form buns and let rise again.
17) Bake for 15 to 18 minutes at 425°
